Over 35s 2020 Non-Junior

We are now running the Over 35s as an invitational tournament from July 2020, under Ger Ryan and Tommy Murphy.

Dates

Rules

1. No junior players can play in the "O35s Division 1" for 2020 - for the avoidance of doubt this must exclude any player who will be registered on FAInet for any junior team in any division (Premier, Division 1/2/3/4, Reserve) for the new 2020-2021 season. This is because the O35s in 2020 directly clashes with Junior competitions; and players who play Junior must put Junior as a higher priority.
2. All teams must comply with government and FAI guidelines on covid-19.
3. Any team who does not supply a covid officer on the day will forfeit the match and must pay the referee fee.

Invitation

The 17 clubs who entered teams into the Over 35s that was intended to be run by the Galway FA but was cancelled after the EGM vote by clubs on 3rd June to void the season due to covid-19. The GFA have already refunded clubs with all payments for O35s affiliation and player registration fees.

We are now running the Over 35s as an invitational tournament, under Ger Ryan and Tommy Murphy.

The following facts have to be fully observed:

1. All return to football has to be in line with FAI and government guidelines.
2. FAI state that competitive Football can start on 18th July. The earliest that O35s can start is Wed 22nd July.

2020 version of "O35s Division 1"

1. No junior players can play in the "O35s Division 1" for 2020 - for the avoidance of doubt this must exclude any player who will be registered on FAInet for any junior team in any division (Premier, Division 1/2/3/4, Reserve). 2. The 17 clubs that affiliated in Jan-2020 were invited.
3. The "O35s Division 1 2020" competition must finish by 9th Sept, sunset will be 8:05pm that evening.
4. A finish date of 9th Sept gives us a 6-week group stage starting 22nd July.

   3. Finals Wed 9th Sept DEACY PARK - subject to availability and GFA safety compliance.
6. Affiliation €180 payable to "Galway Over 35s".
7. No player registration fees.
8. Rules as per last year O35s with exception that no junior players to play this year 2020.
